Judge Smith Honored at Banquet

The banquet honoring President Judge Clinton W. Smith on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at DiSalvo's Restaurant was an event to remember. Read all about the event on the LLA Web site. Attorney Admission Ceremony

The Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas continues the tradition of admitting new attorneys to practice before the "Several Courts of Lycoming County." (Previous admissions: http://www.lycolaw.org/news.asp?id=33). The next Admission Ceremony is scheduled for December 8, 2003 at 4:00 PM, in courtroom #1, in the Lycoming County Courthouse. Members of the Bar are invited to attend.

Attorneys who recently commenced practice in Lycoming County are encouraged to participate in this tradition. The form motion and application are available for download in various formats at www.lycolaw.org/court/BarAdm/admissions.htm. Contact the Court Administrator with questions, (570) 327-2330.

Christmas Toys for Tots Drive

The LLA is again working with the Lycoming County Paralegal Association again this year to collect new toys to distribute to needy children. Please consider donating a new toy to this worthy cause. Watch for boxes in your office, or if you do not receive a box after Thanksgiving, contact LLA President Gary Weber (glw@mmgglaw.com) to secure a box or donate a toy.

Last year's campaign yielded over 200 toys, including stuffed animals, games, Lego, Play Dough, books, crayons, puzzles and clothing for several age groups. Let's try to improve on last years success.

Annual LLA Banquet

Keep open the evening of January 12, 2003. That is the day of the LLA Annual Banquet. This year the banquet will return to Le Jeune Chef, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology for the first time in a number of years. Watch for details.
