Annual Banquet: 50 Year Members to be Honored

The Lycoming Law Association's annual banquet is set for January 13, 2003 at 33 East. A very special program is planned. The LLA will honor its members who have most recently joined the "50 Year" club - John C. Gault (55 years), Robert C. Wise (54 years), William H. Askey (52 years) and Charles A. Szybist (50 years). Members and their guests should plan to attend to honor these men for their achievements and their contributions to the Lycoming County legal profession. Invitations will be distributed shortly after Christmas.

Interesting note: Two of our previously honored "50 Year" members are still active members of the LLA - Honorable Malcolm Muir (65 years) and Honorable Charles Greevy, Jr. (64 years). Where do you stand on the LLA seniority list - click here: www.lycolaw.org/history/membership_year.asp.

Toys for Tots

Thanks to all members and office staff who contributed toys to the annual LLA and Paralegal Association Toys for Tots campaign. Toys will be collected from offices and the courthouse this week, so if you have not yet added your contribution, please do so immediately. You will bring happiness to a needy child this holiday season.

Annual Meeting

The LLA Annual Meeting is scheduled for January 13, 2003 at 4:00 PM in the courthouse jury lounge. Officers for the new year will be selected. Reports of activities of 2002, as well as plans for 2003 will be discussed. Remember, this is your organization - please participate in the business of the Association at the Annual Meeting.

Committee Chairs. Please submit your report to Sue Feist in the LLA office by January 8, 2003. Reports will be distributed to members at the meeting.

Congratulations - Bill Carlucci

Congratulations to member Bill Carlucci. Bill has been nominated by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Nominating Committee to the position of Vice-President. Assuming Bill is elected (the expected scenario) Lycoming County will, in the near future, have its first PBA President in recent history. Bill has been a hard working member of both the PBA and the LLA, and well deserves this honor.
