Lycoming Law Association Participates in Penn State Law Event.   On Friday, April 7, Penn State Law held its first Careers in the Law event, designed to help students learn more about the various practice areas of the legal field. Dubois Advances to PBA Statewide Mock Trial Championship.   Dubois Area High School is one of the 14 high schools advancing to the 34th annual PBA Statewide High School Mock Trial Competition after besting Montoursville in the regional championship round.  (Mrz 22, 2017)

Legal Services Introduces the Divorce Tracker.   NPLS implements Divorce Tracker, an automated program that helps guide individuals through the divorce process in Pennsylvania and generates the forms necessary to pursue a simple, uncontested divorce action.  (Mrz 15, 2017)

Association Receives Bar Recognition Awards at the CCBL.   The Pennsylvania Bar Association recently presented three County Bar Recognition Awards to the Lycoming Law Association during the 51st annual seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders.  (Mrz 5, 2017)

ADA Melissa Kalaus Recognized for Protecting Abused Dog.   Lycoming County Assistant District Attorney Melissa Kalaus has been named by the Animal Legal Defense Fund as one of America’s Top Ten Animal Defenders.  (Mrz 4, 2017)

LLA Committee Chairs Work on 2017 Goals.   In mid-February, President Ryan Tira and Executive Director Michele Frey met with the 2017 committee chairs for lunch at the LLA office. The chairs shared their goals for the upcoming year, and also any concerns for the LLA leadership to address for better operation of the Association.  (Feb 27, 2017)

Legal Services Receives Arbitration Funds.   Since 1989, lawyers in Lycoming County have been donating fees earned as arbitrators to the LLA Foundation. In 2016, this program generated $8,240 in Legal Services funding. The check was presented to the staff of the Williamsport office on February 8.  (Feb 10, 2017)

K's for Cancer Benefits from Nichols Award Proceeds.   William E. Nichols Community Service Award winner Fred Holland designated Montoursville based K's for Cancer to receive a $1,000.00 grant from the Association.  (Feb 10, 2017)
