The Foundation is pleased to report that in 2005 there were a number of accomplishments and achievements which deserve mention.

It was year five of a five year campaign to add $100,000 to the Endowment Fund which was achieved through the generous support of the membership of the Law Association.

The Foundation held an annual meeting immediately following the Meeting of the Law Association on January 10, 2005.  At that meeting, a financial report was given for 2004, amendments to the bylaws were adopted, and an election was conducted of the following individuals: E. Eugene Yaw - I year term; Joseph L. Rider - 2 year term; Joseph A. Campagna, Jr. - 3 year term; William E. Nichols - 4 year term.

The Foundation also held meetings on the following dates: April 13, 2005, July 7, 2005, September 20, 2005, October 5, 2005, December 13, 2005. The Foundation also provided financial support for thee important initiatives.

The Foundation has had several discussions on the future of the Endowment Fund and is in the process of developing brochures which would permit members of the Association and the public at large to provide financial support to the Endowment Fund of the Foundation in the form of planned giving, honorary or memorial gifts, and pledges over a period of time.

Finally, the Foundation developed and obtained an endorsement from the Executive Committee of the Law Association to make changes to the system by which attorneys have the option of designating one arbitration fee each year to the Foundation, The revised form has now been circulated to the membership and it permits attorneys beginning in 2006 to designate one, two, or all fees received in each calendar year.

In conclusion, the Foundation is excited to report on the accomplishments achieved to date and expects to have further success in the future as it seeks additional support and continues to fund law related activities serving the citizens of Lycoming County.
