LLA Members Vote to Retain Judges, in Survey

Under the Pennsylvania constitution, sitting judges face a Yes/No retention election every ten years. At the general election to be held November 6, both Judge Clinton W. Smith and Judge William S. Kieser face retention election.

In order to provide the County voters with knowledge of how local lawyers view the qualifications of these judges, the Lycoming Law Association-consisting of licensed lawyers whose home office is in Lycoming County-conducted a poll by secret ballot of its members, inquiring whether each judge should or should not be retained.

The voters of our County are respectfully advised that the members of the Lycoming Law Association voted overwhelmingly (92% in each case) in favor of retaining both Judge Smith and Judge Kieser for another term.
