2001 Conference of County Bar Leaders Award

Lycoming Law Association President, Robin Read, was presented with a 2001 County Bar Recognition Award by the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Conference of County Bar Leaders during the annual meeting of the Conference of County Bar Leaders in Harrisburg.

Recognized for its food and toy drive for St. Anthony's Center and the Lycoming Law Association Web site, the Association is one of 28 county bars being honored this year for sponsoring projects that work to improve the legal profession, justice system or community.

The LLA co-sponsored a food and toy drive with the Lycoming County Paralegal Association to benefit St. Anthony's Center, a local charity that provides free meals to the poor.  The drive collected food and toys from local law offices and the Lycoming County Courthouse; toys collected were given the needy children at St. Anthony's Center during the annual Christmas party for children.

This past year, in conjunction with the court, Gary Weber, a member of the LLA executive committee, developed the Association's site.
