Successful Christmas Toy Drive

The Lycoming Law Association Young Lawyers Division and the Paralegal Association jointly sponsored a successful Christmas toy drive this year.  Collection boxes deposited in local law offices were filled to overflowing, and dozens of toys were provided to the Salvation Army for distribution to local children.

The Salvation Army has been collecting toys since November 1, and the gifts will be distributed on December 21.  About a 1000 children will receive toys this year, up from 800 last year.  Nearly 630 families are participating, and the vast majority is from Williamsport—all are from Lycoming County.

This is the first year that the Young Lawyers took on the project and the the participation of the newer members of the Bar in this worthwhile project was a welcome development.
