Seven New Attorneys Admitted to the Bar

On Friday, December 9, 2005,  Judges Kenneth Brown,  Williams Kieser, Dudley Anderson and Richard Gray presided at a special session of court at which eight attorneys were admitted to practice before the “several Courts of the County of Lycoming.”

The attorneys, Jose Ronaldo Legasfi, David Ronald Chludzinski, Laura R. Burd, Mary C. Kilgus, Timothy A. B. Reitz, Gregory D. Drab and Adrianne J. Stahl., were introduced to the Judges by current members of the Lycoming County Bar, and then the oath of office was administered by Prothonotary, William J. Burd.

Mr. Legasfi was moved for admission by Julieanne E. Steinbacher.  He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Widener Law School.  He is employed in the Steinbacher Law Office.

Ms. Steinbacher also moved the admission of Adrianne Stahl, a graduate of Lycoming College and Widener Law School.  Ms. Stahl was unable to attend the ceremony because of the recent birth of a child.  She is employed in the Steinbacher Law Office.

David Chludzinski is currently employed by the Rieders, Travis, Humphrey, Harris, Waters & Waffenschmidt law firm.  He was introduced by Clifford A. Rieders.  He graduated from Boston College and Dickinson School of Law.

A graduate of the Lycoming College and Dickinson School of Law, Laura Burd is employed as Judge Butts' law clerk.  Former President Judge Thomas C. Raup moved her admission.  Ms. Burd is the daughter of Prothonotary Burd.

Charles Drab works in the Public Defender's Office and was moved for admission by Charles G. Brace, Jr.  He is an Allegheny College graduate.

Mary Kilgus was introduced by Joseph F. Orso, III.  She is currently employed in the Casale & Bonner firm.

Timothy Reitz is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Roger Williams School of Law.  His admission was moved by Douglas N. Engelman and will work with the Lepley, Engelman & Yaw firm.

Each of the new attorneys was welcomed to the bar by the judges.  In addition LLA member and current PBA President William P. Carlucci spoke briefly about the importance of attorneys becoming involved in public life.

Lycoming Law Association by the President, Norman M. Lubin presented the new members with the volume, Historical Sketches of the Bench and Bar of Lycoming County.  Young Lawyer's Division Chair Brace invited all to participate in meetings of the division.
