Lycoming County Court Admits New Attorneys

2008 AdmissionOn December 12, 2008, The Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas sat, en banc, for a special session of court.  Judges Nancy Butts, Dudley Anderson and Richard Gray presided over the admission of eight new attorneys to practice before the “several Courts of the County of Lycoming.”

Although admission to the local courts is no longer required by law, Lycoming County has continued the tradition of an admission ceremony.  The ceremony serves several purposes:  to formally recognize the accomplishments of the newly admitted attorneys, to introduce the new faces of the bar to the legal community and to allow the Judges and Law Association officers the opportunity to introduce new attorneys to the services available to them through the Association and to offer opportunities to serve the community, as attorney

Jonathan F. Bach was introduce to the bar by his father, Francis Paul Bach.  The younger Attorney Bach is a graduate of Dickinson School of Law and recently clerked for Judge Saylor of Northumberland County.

Public Defender Robert Cronin introduced Aaron S. Biichle as a new member of his office. Attorney Biichle graduated from the Delaware Law School of Weidner College.

The Public Defender's Office also employs Stephanie Lombardo.  Her sponsor, Robin Buzas, told the court that Attorney Lombardo graduated from the Syracuse School of Law, and she will handle Children & Youth cases for the Office.

Yvonne H. Campbell is currently employed by Middle District Judge McClure.  She was introduced by David R. Bahl, who noted that Attorney Campbell graduated from the University of Pittsburgh  Law School, in 2008.

Jennifer Dougherty graduated from Villanova Law School and recently clerked for Berks County Judge Scott Keller.  She was sponsored by Joel McDermott and will work for Steinbacher, Sholder and Stahl.

Matthew Mobilio is Judge Richard Gray's law clerk. Trisha Hoover sponsored his admission to the Bar.  Attorney Mobilio is a graduate of Dickinson Law School.

University of Pittsburgh graduate Sarah N. Steinbacher was moved for admission by David R. Bahl.  She is currently employed by the McCormick Law Firm.

Levi I. Woodward was introduced to the Bar by Michael H. Collins.  Attorney Woodward graduated from the New York Law School and he is employed by McNerney, Page, Vanderlin & Hall.

Each of the new attorneys was welcomed to the bar by the judges. Lycoming Law Association President, Tammy Taylor presented the new members with the volume, Historical Sketches of the Bench and Bar of Lycoming County. Young Lawyer's Division representative Joel McDermott invited all to participate in meetings and activities of the division.  New and existing members were encouraged to participate in the Inns of Court, by its President, Rick Baldys.

All were invited to a reception held at The Olde Corner that followed immediately after the court session.
