Lawctoberfest 2008

The third annual Lawctoberfest and auction for the benefit of the Lycoming Law Foundation took place October 4, 2008.  The auction netted nearly $1,100.00, with additional funds raised through dinner fees and donations.  The event was sponsored by the LLA Young Lawyers division.

More than 40 LLA members and guests ate Wurst  and drank Riesling during the auction and social that started the evening at the Peter Herdic House.  Later, pork, sauerkraut and Apfelstrudel was enjoyed by the gathered guests.

At dinner, Jack Humphrey announced that Judge Muir was celebrating the 70th anniversary of admission to the Lycoming Bar. Judge Muir received the accolades of all.

At 9:30, the bidding closed and the bidders paid for their purchases.  Most of the attendees left with something - perhaps not what they wanted, but the money went to a good cause.

Among the items donated for the auction were four Phillies tickets and a pair of Flyers tickets, a year of Julie's Coffee, a massage, a one-on-one basketball match with Judge Brown, dinner for two at the Herdic House, a massage and a gold and pearl necklace.
