LLA Opens New Office and Conference Facility
The desks and file cabinets have been moved. The conference table and chairs have been delivered. At last, the Lycoming Law Association's new office and conference facility is fully functional.
After many years of hiding above the former Woolworth store on Pine Street in Williamsport, the LLA has moved its office several blocks to the Penn Tower, on Third Street, overlooking the courthouse. The new office is more modern and spacious, providing a more functional and convenient place for the work of Executive Director Jessica Engel.
LLA members will appreciate the new conference area. The conference room is available for members, and others, to conduct depositions and meetings, for CLE video and live presentations and for committee meetings. The new sectional conference table may be configured in the traditional manner or in classroom or square configurations, as the need arises. Video equipment is also available. More informal gatherings may take place in the lounge area. Meals for lunch meetings may be brought in - or delivered to the center.
Initially, the conference center will be used for all PBA CLE video replays.
Cost for the use of the conference facility has not yet been established, but it is anticipated that the rate will be determined at the April 2008 Executive Committee meeting. The cost will be reasonable, with members paying less than non-members. To reserve the facility, contact the LLA office.
