Mitchell Appointed
Lycoming Law Association member C. Edward S. Mitchell has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission by PBA President Gretchen A. Mundorff. Mitchell is the senior partner at the Mitchell, Mitchell, Gallagher, Weber and Southard law firm.
The Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission is responsible for developing and implementing a judicial evaluation process for appellate judicial candidates in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Commission's procedures include reviewing reports of investigative panels commissioned specifically for each candidate, interviewing each candidate, discussing qualifications, and reaching an agreement upon and issuing ratings for candidates for appellate judicial office.
During the 2011 election cycle, voters will be selecting several judges to serve on the appellate courts of Pennsylvania.
Mitchell joins another LLA member, Rebecca Reinhardt, who has served on the Commission for several years.
