LLA Members Seeking Elected Positions
The 2011 election season has begun. Four members of the Lycoming Law Association have announced their intentions to run for elected office.
Eric Lindhardt, the current Lycoming County District Attorney, has announced for reelection. He is the Republican candidate. Lindhardt is running unopposed in the primary election. At the present time, the Democrats have not put forward a candidate for the office.
Two LLA members currently serve on the South Williamsport Borough Council. Benjamin Landon has served several terms on Council and is seeking the Republican nomination for reelection to the 2nd Ward seat. Robert Cronin, also a Republican, is running for a 1st Ward seat. Cronin is currently serving an interim appointment on Council. He will face the voters for the first time in the Spring election.
Aaron Biichle, a member of the District Attorney's staff, is running for the Magisterial District Judge position that is being vacated by C. Roger McRae. He has cross-filed in both the Republican and Democrat primaries. He is one of three candidates who have cross-filed for the position.
