Nichols Award Funds Presented to Taber Museum

At the January annual meeting, LLA member Gary Weber was awarded the William E. Nichols Community Service Award for outstanding community service and for exemplifying the positive role that attorneys play in our community beyond the practice of law.

On behalf of the award winner, the Lycoming Law Association allocates $1000 to be presented to a community charitable organization, selected by the award winner. Gary designated the Lycoming County Historical Society to receive this year's donation.

The presentation was delayed by the Covid-19 closure of the museum, but finally, on June 26, 2020, the presentation was formally made at the Taber Museum. The donation was accepted with thanks by Museum Executive Director Gary Parks. Presenting the check (both live and virtually) were Michele Frey, Gary Weber and President Angela Lovecchio.

The Historical Society is 113 years old and continues to serve the community by preserving the history of Lycoming County and by making that history available to everyone at its Taber Museum.
