Judges Carlucci & Gardner Take Oath of Office

On the first day of business in 2024, newly elected county and local officials were sworn into office at a ceremony at the Williamsport Community Arts Center. Several members of the Lycoming County Bar were among those taking the oath.

Master of ceremonies Ken Sawyer by introducing a Korean War Veterans group that presented the colors. Alexandrea Lazorka sang the National Anthem, followed by a rendition of America the Beautiful by Isabel Butters. Breana Corlew led the Pledge to the Flag. Pastor Larry Leland provided the invocation.

President Dr. Michael Reed of the Pennsylvania College of Technology gave the keynote speech.

Justice Kevin Brobson of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court was present to administer the oath to Judges William Carlucci and Ryan Gardner, who assumed positions on the Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas. District Justice Kirsten Gardner was sworn in to office by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy Butts. County Commissioners Scott L. Metzger, Marc Sortman and Mark Mussina took the oath from Judge Eric Linhardt. County Row officers, including District Attorney Tom Marino, Prothonotary Tom Heap, Coroner Charles E. Kiessling, Register & Recorder Dave Huffman, Controller Krista Rogers and Cindy S. Newcomer were given the oath by Judge Gardner.

Judge Ryan Tira then gave the oath to Williamsport City officials and county appointed officials.

The ceremony concluded with Pastor Leland's benediction.
