PBF Supports LLA Foundation's Scholorship Program

The Pennsylvania Bar Foundation awarded a Unit County Matching Grant to the Lycoming Law Association, providing $3,500 to support seven promising law students. This grant will be used to award funds to Lycoming County law school students, recognized under the Rider Scholarship program, offered by the Lycoming Law Association Foundation.

The Lycoming Law Association Foundation named the Scholarship after Attorney Joseph L. Rider, a Williamsport native who practiced law for 58 years and who was highly regarded by the Lycoming County Court and his fellow practicing attorneys. He was also a founding member of the Foundation and a committed member thereof until his death in 2020. The Foundation aptly named the scholarship in his name as Attorney Rider exemplified the qualities of knowledge, expertise, collegiality and commitment-to-client of a great lawyer and the qualities of honesty, integrity, and kindness of a great man.
