City Council Recognizes Lycoming Law Association

One hundred and fifty years ago, a group of Williamsport lawyers came together to form the Lycoming Law Association. On Thursday, May 9, 2019, Williamsport City Council recognized that birthday by unanimously passing a resolution commemorating the long history of the Association.

Seven members of the Association, including current president Christian Frey and past presidents Bill Carlucci, John Pietrovito, Gary Weber and Jen Heverly as well as Executive Committee members Rick Baldys and Angela Lovecchio were present as city council president Jonathan Williamson read the resolution. In addition to the LLA recognition, Council also honored the seventieth birthday of the Lycoming Reporter and the thirtieth anniversary of the LLA Foundation.

Members of counsel commented about the importance of lawyers to the the formation and development of the city. President Williamson indicated he appreciated the professionalism of the local bar in dealings with the city.

The Lycoming Law Association is incredibly proud of its history and the recognition conferred on it by the Williamsport City Council.
