LLA Foundation Donates Arbitration Funds to NPLS

Since 1989, lawyers in Lycoming County have been donating fees earned as arbitrators to the Lycoming Law Association Foundation. The trustees of the Foundation have established a policy under which 80% of those fees are committed to North Penn Legal Services, while 20% is placed in the Foundation's endowment fund.
In 2018, this program generated $7,360 in Legal Services funding. The check was presented to the staff of the Williamsport office on February 27. Making the presentation were Foundation president Joe Rider, LLA president Christian Frey and executive director Michele Frey. LLA Foundation trustees Jennifer Heverly and Fred Holland also participated in the ceremonial presentation.
