Rieders Travis Firm Awards Scholarships

Maja Ostojic of Hughesville High School and Jillian Stoops of Williamsport Area High School recently received scholarship awards in an essay contest conducted by Rieders, Travis, Humphrey, Harris, Waters and Waffenschmidt.  The two winners were chosen from 10 entries received from Lycoming County high school students.

Stoops received a $2,500 scholarship and plans attend the University of Pittsburgh. Ostojic was awarded a $500 scholarship.  She will be attending Bucknell University in the fall.

Rieders, Travis conducts the essay contest annually.  Students are expected to write a 1,000-word essay on one of two topics. The partners of the law firm then review the essays, and a list of each student’s awards, honors, employment, and civic and social activities to make the final selection.
