The Plane Debate

I believe that the airline should be permitted to kick my family off the plane. There are various reasons why.  My sister could've distracted the pilot.  The regulations should be followed by adults and children.  Unfortunately, if my mom cannot make my sister stop, then my sister shouldn't have been on a plane anyways.  Because of my family, the flight could've gotten delayed.  You have to consider the other passengers!  My sister could've ruined the entire flight by misbehaving.  In conclusion, I think it's right for the airline to kick my family off the plane.

We paid a lot of money for the tickets to Disney World.  Maybe my sister is just scared of the flight.  I think that a child would stop having a tantrum when the plane actually took off.  It would be sad not to go on that special vacation.  It would be fun to go to Disney World because I've never gone there!

No, the pilot should not of kicked our family off the plane. We want to go on a vacation. I don't want to pay for a vacation, and not go! That drove me up the wall. The pilot told me to put her in the luggage department or the bathroom. I said, "No!!!" The pilot said, "Then get off this plane!" Then he threw us out. I was as mad as a bull. I just hope I can go on my next trip.

Municipalities should be permitted to pass laws that punish landlords for renting property to illegal immigrants and/or punish employers for employing illegal immigrants for obvious reasons. On the news and in the newspapers, it is made clear that the illegal immigrants are causing trouble in our once peaceful cities. If this keeps up, America will turn into a violent country and nobody wants that. If the landlords and employers are renting land or giving jobs to illegal immigrants, then the immigrants will be able to do more harm to our cities and their people because they will then have the money and the places to do so. Not all illegal immigrants mean harm to our country, but if they are given jobs, then that would he cheating the people who are rightful citizens of America out of much needed jobs. This could cause feuds between the people who need the jobs and the employers, and could also lead our country to becoming very unpeaceful. Landowners should also beware because if an American citizen needs a place to stay and the hotels, houses or apartments were full and housed some illegal immigrants, then the American citizens could become very angry and also start fights. For these reasons, municipalities should be permitted to punish landowners and employers who give rent or jobs to illegal immigrants. Bethany Stoner

Yes, in my opinion I do believe that landlords should be punished for hiring illegal immigrants. There are several reasons why I agree with this statement. First, landlords are business people and need to adhere to certain rules and regulations governed by the local, state and federal government. If I were a landlord I would want to know that the people living on my property were legal citizens without a criminal history.

Second, it has been a proven fact that illegal immigrants when settling in various areas in the United States has caused crime rates to increase. This jeopardizes the safety and welfare of the legal residents of that area. For example, the incidents of drug use, possession, and distribution of illegal drugs increases significantly. This in turn, causes a drain on local social service programs, medical care, and emergency personnel. Also, by allowing illegal immigrants to live and to be employed in local communities would decrease the number of job opportunities for legal citizens to uphold.

In conclusion, I would strongly advocate that landlords who knowingly house illegal immigrants be punished for doing so due to the fact that it causes crime rates to escalate and causes the loss of job opportunities for legal residents who really need them.
