Lawctoberfest 2007
The second annual
Lawctoberfest and auction for the benefit of the Lycoming Law Foundation
took place October 20, 2007. The auction netted nearly $2,000.00,
besting last years total. The event was sponsored by the LLA Young
Lawyers division.
Thirty-two LLA
members and guests feasted on food with a German theme and hand
crafted beers at the Bullfrog Brewery. Before and after
dinner, the bidders circulated pushing the bids on donated items
ever higher.
At 9:30, the
bidding closed and Young Lawyers chair Ryan Tira announced the
winning bids and bidders.

Most seemed happy with their
purchases, even those whose bidding may have gone a bit higher than
planned - after all, the money goes to a good cause.
Among the items donated for the auction were a vintage photograph of the courthouse (Judge Anderson), dinner at DiSalvo's with Judge Muir (Rieders, Travis firm), dinner and a room package at the Herdic Inn/House (Elion, Wayne firm and Jessica Engel). Also auctioned were Phillies, Flyers and Crosscutters tickets, rock climbing, flying lessons, a spa session, dining at The Old Corner, a Ryan Howard autograph and a souvenir Superior Court hat.
