Report on the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Lycoming Law Association

Judge Gardner passes the clock to new President Jeana LongoThe membership of the Lycoming Law Association met for its annual meeting on January 12, 2026. Judge Ryan Gardner opened the meeting and welcomed the members.

Minutes of the 2025 meeting were approved, as were the financial reports of the previous year. The Association is on good financial footing at the present time.

Reports of executive officers, President Gardner and Executive Director Frey, were provided to the members verbally (and in writing, see below). 

The report of the nominating committee was introduced. The following slate of officers was approved:

  • President: Jeana Longo
  • President-Elect: Marc Drier
  • Treasurer: Jonathan DeWald
  • Secretary: Jennifer Linn

In addition, Jessica Feese was elected to the Executive Committee as a member-at-large joining Christopher Kenyon, Melody Protasio and Christina Dinges. Judge Gardner will serve as Past President.

Jeana Longo took the gavel.

Members kept a moment of silence for deceased members Paul Wertman and Jeff Yates.

Committee Chairs provided reports to the members, verbally and in writing (see below).

The members approved the 2026 budget as proposed.

Judges who were present did provide some final comments, encouraging pro bono service, discussing some new civil practice procedures and encouraging preparation for retirement activities.

The meeting adjourned. 

As is the custom, the meeting of the Lycoming Law Association Foundation followed, with President Robin Read presiding.

The annual report of the LLAF provided details of the grants provided by the Foundation in the past year (see below). 

Financially, the Foundation passed a milestone, banking over $500,000, a longtime goal.

The report of the Nominating Committee was approved, adding Elizabeth White to the Foundation Board to replace Judge Arbuckle and noting that Marc Drier is now an ex officio member of the Board.

With that, the meeting was adjourned.
