The Lycoming Law Association represents its 204 members in many ways. But most of the work is actually done by its committees and a group of dedicated committee chairs.
In mid-February, President Ryan Tira and Executive Director Michele Frey met with the 2017 committee chairs for lunch at the LLA office. The chairs shared their goals for the upcoming year, and also any concerns for the LLA leadership to address for better operation of the Association.
President Tira implemented a new procedure that allows for the work of the committees to be shared more readily with the members. Agendas and minutes will be shared. Regular meetings, particularly of the substantive law committees, are essential.
Concerns that arise during the year should be shared with the Executive Director. The Bench Bar Committee, and Ed Mitchell, agreed to convey issues concerning court related concerns.
The meeting was well attended and productive in addressing the committee activities for the upcoming year.
