LLA Members Nominated for LegislatureThe recent Pennsylvania primary election saw the nomination of two members of the Lycoming Law Association for legislative positions.
The second race involving a Lycoming County Attorney, was a bit more difficult. E. Eugene Yaw was nominated by the Republican Party to fill an open seat in the state Senate. In doing so, he defeated incumbent state representative Steven W. Cappelli and Bradford County Commissioner, Douglas McLinko. Yaw has never held an elected position.
In the November election, Yaw will face Democrat Louis Casmir for election in the 23rd Senatorial District. The Senate seat will be vacated in January by long-time Senator Roger Madigan, who is retiring. |
